On the alpine slopes of the northern reaches of Alto Adige, the monks of Abbazia di Novacella have been producing some of Italy’s best white wines for over 850 years. While the vineyards are steep and the climate is harshly fickle, the terroir is ideal for growing and producing their famed whites along with a handful of formidable reds.
