Brandy Tasting this Wednesday 11/11 @ 116 Crown!!

Most people leave brandy in its snifter.  Cognac, Armagnac, and Calvados are not the most common spirits to make cocktails out of (besides the sidecar) but we are hoping this weeks focus will change that. Not only are we highlighting the three spirits listed above, but we are throwing Pisco in the mix for good measure.

Wednesday Nights
116 Crown
7-9pm

 Meeting twice a month with a theme ingredient, participants will not only taste a number of craft cocktails but also be lead through a brief history of the featured spirits, their classic uses and contexts, and discuss the idea of utilizing cocktails for food pairing. 

Hors d’oeuvres and small plates will be provided with a dish specially created with the theme spirit in mind. 

 

11 November – Brandy

18 November – Whisk(e)y
(Bourbon / Rye / Scotch/Irish) 

2 December – Hot + Holiday
(Hot Buttered Rum / The Toddy / Eggnog / Holiday Punch)

Cocktail Cards with ingredients and instructions for home preparation will be

provided to participants at each of the events.  All ingredients and bar tools will be available for purchase at The Wine Thief Downtown. 

Each seminar is $50 per person
